Cellar of the winegrowers of Mancey

Wine, together, is fun!

mancey.jpeg

In the 2000s, the winegrowers of Mancey decided to unite in order to make their know-how known. To do so, they created a structure to accommodate individuals. The architecture of this building is built in the Romanesque style in reference to the local heritage and in particular to the Abbey of Saint Philibert de Tournus (it is the monks of this order who are at the origin of the development of viticulture in the region ).

More than a simple building, it is the beginning of an initiatory journey around the vine and wine.

Our history with the winegrowers of Mancey

A long time partner..! Carole was still very young when she took charge of the relationship with Mr. Derain. A Burgundian involved in his region, who wanted to support small producers like him, through a cooperative. We are lucky to have been in contact with so many beautiful vineyards thanks to him! Our St-Véran, Aligoté, Pinot Noir are the fruits of labor in the Mancey cellar.

A little anecdote to share with friends

Historians agree that pinot was already cultivated before the arrival of the Romans in Gaul.

Pinot Noir is one of the most famous red grape varieties in the world. Produced in the vineyards of Burgundy and champagne, its reputation is second to none.

The bunch of pinot noir wine has small, very tight grapes and looks like a pine cone, that's why it is called "pinot"!

A good glue for you
