  • The charm of Tuscany is here

Castello Monterinaldi aims for the change of pace of Chianti. It is the Slow Wine of Chianti Classico, hence the image of the turtle on the packaging. The turtle embodies slowness, solidity, longevity, patience, endurance, perseverance. Castello Monterinaldi does not like to create wines on wood, he prefers to bring out all the expression of the fruit of Tuscany! In organic culture since always, there is a malolactic fermentation of 16 days and  maturation in a vitrified concrete cellar.

Chianti Classico is produced in the oldest historic part of the Chianti region and is one of the most prestigious Italian wines with the DOCG denomination (“Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita”), which certifies both origin and quality of the wine. It is made from a mixture of grapes belonging to different varieties, with Sangiovese representing the highest percentage. The vineyards are located in the municipality of Radda in Chianti at altitudes ranging from 300 to 450 meters above sea level. The specific microclimate, soil and grape varieties combine to create a wine with a rich bouquet, slightly tannic and suitable for long-term ageing. The authenticity of the wine is guaranteed by the Gallo Nero (Black Rooster) seal, which is affixed to the bottles to certify that the wine has been tasted and approved by the Chianti Classico Consortium. The bottle should be opened at least 1 hour before serving and stored at room temperature.
